Nepal minister does a U-turn
It looked more like an amateur political drama when Nepal’s Forest and Soil Conservation minister Matrika Yadav on Friday decided to withdraw his resignation.
Accusing the government for its failure and lack of cooperation on some important issues, Yadav, on Thursday evening had tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala. After an extensive deliberation with Maoist chairman Prachanda, Yadav on Friday morning took back the resignation, senior Maoist leader and Nepal’s Communication minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, said.
