US President Barack Obama on Friday said that the world cannot "stand idly" by on Syria and announced he would address the United States over the crisis next week.

US President Barack Obama on Friday said that the world cannot "stand idly" by on Syria and announced he would address the United States over the crisis next week.
Obama said after attending the G20 summit in Russia that he would address the US nation on Tuesday and also described his talks with President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg as "as candid and constructive".
