Gilani directed the Interior Ministry to make arrangements for the release and repatriation of the 100 fishermen, an official statement said.

Pakistan also proposed for revival of the bilateral Judicial Commission on Prisoners to address the problems of prisoners and fishermen being held in jails in both countries, the statement said.

The Judicial Commission, which had taken several steps for speedy release of prisoners and worked to resolve their problems, has not met since India put the composite dialogue on hold in the aftermath of the Mumbai terror attacks last year.
