Three pirates boarded and seized an Italian merchant ship carrying fuel in the Gulf of Guinea on Sunday, Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata (ANSA) news agency said.
The Rbd Anema e Core was carrying 23 crew members, including 20 Filipino, two Italians and the captain, who is Romanian, according to the report.
