"I am very grateful to you for accepting my invitation in March next year. I am confident that your visit would give anew fillip to our ties," Singh said a meeting with Putin in Moscow on Monday.
Singh, who is on a three-day tour to Russia, reminded that it was the then President Putin's maiden India visit to India in 2000 during which the declaration of Indo-Russian strategic partnership was signed.
"That was a historic visit, which laid the foundation of our relations," Singh said at the start of his parleys with Putin.
The two leaders will also address the Indo-Russian CEOs Council co-chaired by Mukesh Ambani of RIL and Vladimir Evtushenkov of 'Sistema' conglomerate, which markets mobile services in India under MTS brand.
