Sharma in Singapore on a 2-day visit

Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma arrived in Singapore today for a two-day visit during which he will be meeting several ministers and the business community.

Just after arrival, Sharma held his first round of bilateral trade talks with the senior Singaporean minister Goh Chok Tong, following which would join his counterpart Lim Hng Kiang at dinner.

Sharma will be meeting foreign minister George Yeo and the business community tomorrow. He is also scheduled to deliver a public lecture at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy on "Resurgence of Asia in the 21st Century – An Indian Perspective". Sharma arrived in Singapore from Kuala Lumpur.
