A suicide blast by a female Tamil Tiger guerrilla in a crowd of civilians fleeing Sri Lanka's war zone killed three people and wounded 36 on Monday, the military said.
"Two civilians were killed, 21 were injured and one woman soldier was killed. Fifteen army soldiers were injured," defence spokesman Keheliya Rambukwella, who is also a minister, said.
