The Pulp Fiction actress was the special guest at a function to honour the filmmaker and decided there was no better way to celebrate the director than let him drink from her black velvet heels, reported People magazine online.
The 40-year-old actress is best known for her work with the filmmaker including the superhit Kill Bill franchise and joined Tarantino in guzzling wine out of her own Christian Louboutins.
Also there to pay tribute to the 47-year-old filmmaker were Bob and Harvey Weinstein, Samuel L Jackson, Harvey Keitel, Kathy Griffin and Brett Ratner.
Thurman and Tarantino have denied any rumours of romance in the past but the duo are close friends.
Tarantino calls the 6-foot-tall actress his muse and when asked about an alleged romance, he had famously replied, "I'm not saying that we haven't and I'm not saying that we have."
