Three people were killed in a small plane crash in the eastern US state of Maryland, news reports said.
The plane, a dual-engine Piper PA-30, was flying from White Plains, New York, to Pinehurst, North Carolina, when it crashed on Wednesday.
An investigation of the accident was underway.
