Many commentators predict a narrow victory by Yanukovich, but the fiery Tymoshenko is threatening to summon protesters in a replay of the 2004 "Orange Revolution" if she deems the second-round election unfair.
Any challenge to the result would dash hopes that the country quickly returns to stability to focus on improving ties with Russia and the EU and restart a $16.4 billion IMF programme for the crisis-hit economy.
