United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski says United Flight 949 from London’s Heathrow Airport landed safely in Iceland at 2:51 pm CDT (1951 GMT) on Monday. There were 178 people aboard the Boeing 767.

No injuries were reported.

Urbanski says a replacement aircraft was dispatched to Keflavik, and passengers were expected to arrive at O’Hare International Airport early on Tuesday afternoon.
