The US said on Monday it has imposed new sanctions on individuals and entities connected to North Korea.
The Treasury Department said the four individuals and eight entities being designated will face travel ban and assets freeze for providing support to the country's nuclear programme, Xinhua reported.
The new sanctions are seen as a US effort to punish North Korea for the sinking of a South Korean warship in March.
