Remember Kajol's grandmother in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and Balraj Sahni's wife in BR Chopra's Waqt? You might have recognised Achala Sachdev, but it seems Bollywood has forgotten the veteran actor who's bedridden at a Pune hospital.

Remember Kajol's grandmother in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and Balraj Sahni's wife in BR Chopra's Waqt (of Ae Meri Zohra Jabeen Meri fame)? You might have recognised Achala Sachdev, but it seems Bollywood has forgotten the veteran actor who's bedridden at a Pune hospital, reports NDTV.

The actor who has worked in over 250 films, has been ailing for the last three months at a hospital in Pune. Shockingly, none from the film industry has bothered to visit her, according to the news channel.

Achala Sachdev broke her leg around three-and-a-half months ago at her home. Since then, she is undergoing a treatment at the Poona Hospital and Research Centre. The MRI scan indicated that a clot that had formed in the artery close to the heart had moved away and fragmented into smaller clots and entered the brain vessels, reports the channel.

Rajeev Nanda, a family friend of Achala has been informing people in the industry and her relatives about her health.

Sachdev's son, Jyotin, is a business consultant who lives in the US. Her daughter stays in Mumbai.
