Salman Khan’s villain will match his wits against Ranveer Singh’s hero in that testosterone rush called Dhoom franchise?
If the buzz is to be believed, Yash Raj is giving a youth injection to its much-loved franchise which, in a way, is India’s answer to Fast & Furious, but with songs. Ranveer Singh, a YRF find who is also starring in their upcoming Befikre, has reportedly been finalised to play the lead, according to a DNA report.
Salman Khan will apparently play the guy with grey shades opposite him. Salman has also worked with YRF earlier and his upcoming Sultan is backed by the production house.
This means Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who so far have played the good guys in the franchise, will be replaced. The franchise has an interesting line-up of villains, which have been played by John Abraham (Dhoom), Hrithik Roshan (Dhoom 2) and Aamir Khan (Dhoom 3).
The leading ladies have been played by Esha Deol and Rimi Sen, Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif in that order.
Dhoom Reloaded will reportedly start shooting next year and will be directed by Dhoom: 3’s Vijay Krishna Acharya.
