BCom (Hons) is geared to transform students into managers and leaders of tomorrow. Offering an all-inclusive perspective that draws heavily from the multi-disciplinary fields relevant to modern businesses, the in-depth pedagogy of the three-year course teaches the students advanced concepts from the fields of Management, Finance, Law, Economics, Public Administration, Mathematics, Communication, Information Technology, Environmental Sciences etc.

Though the admission to the course is merit-based depending on the cut-offs which vary from college to college, the University of Delhi lays the basic eligibility criteria as 45% in aggregate as the minimum marks in Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XIIth) of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi with Pass in five subjects (One language and Four elective subjects) or an examination recognized as equivalent to that.
While the University rules permit students of all disciplines viz. Science, Commerce and Humanities to apply for the course, it is highly recommended for commerce students who can start their education with a generalist approach and later choose a more specialized field that caters to their career path. Science and Humanities students who wish to change their stream and understand about how businesses work should also apply for the course.

While average pay packages may differ from industry to industry and profile to profile, it can be reasonably said that there exist considerable job opportunities for the graduates with significant mobility and growth prospects. Further, the graduates have a wide range of options to choose from in case they decide to pursue higher education.
