CICSE Class 12 results: Sargun leads girls’ pack to outshine boys in Tricity

Class 12 (ISC) students of the tricity came out with flying colours in the results declared by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) at 3pm on Friday. Sargun Kaur Lalia of Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, emerged as the overall tricity topper with 98% in humanities.

Class 12 (ISC) students of the tricity came out with flying colours in the results declared by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) at 3pm on Friday. Sargun Kaur Lalia of Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, emerged as the overall tricity topper with 98% in humanities.

Also from the same school, Rahat Sekhon and Mehakdeep Kaur (both from humanities stream) had a tie for the second spot with 97.2% marks. Nimiksha Mahajan from Strawberry Fields High School and Harman Kaur from St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School shared the top spot in the commerce stream with 94.7%.

Devanshi Pratap with 95.5% marks, also from Strawberry Fields High School, is the non-medical topper and Yukta Sharma (92%) of St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School topped in the medical stream. Topper in each stream is a girl.

All CISCE schools in the tricity achieved 100% result. The national pass percentage of Class 12 (ISC) this year was 96.46% and 98.5% for Class 10 (ICSE).

Sargun said self-study and support of the teachers was the key to her success . Strawberry Fields high School director Atul Khanna said, “The result say for itself. It is a testimony that our teachers believe in the abilities of students and work hard to maximise their potential.”
