4. Enter your department number and submit.

Though affiliated to the University of Madras, Loyola College became autonomous in July 1978, ie it could frame its own course of studies and methods of teaching and evaluation.

UGC conferred the status of “College with potential for Excellence” on the College in 2004 and confirmed the same in 2010. Later, Loyola was upgraded to “College of Excellence” from April 1, 2014, up to March 31, 2019.
