Pop star Justin Bieber announces his retirement on Twitter

Pop star Justin Bieber has officially announced his retirement from his music career on Twitter.





Bieber tweeted on Wednesday morning, "My beloved beliebers I am officialy retiring" (sic)





The 19-year-old also wrote, "The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle."





A couple of day ago, contactmusic.com had reported that the

pop star

had said he will take a long break once his new album Journals is released.

"After the new album, I'm actually retiring, man. I'm retiring," Bieber told a radio channel.

"I want to grow as an artist and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature."
