Speaking on the sidelines of three-day Asian Ministerial Conference on disaster risk reduction at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, Majithia said the state plan involved taking preparatory measures to tackle natural disasters.
Stating that Asia witnessed 45% of global natural disasters in 2015, Majithia said the state disaster response force has 15 teams, with each comprising 40 jawans.
The minister said a statewide campaign will be launched at school and panchayat level to build capacity and engage youth for implementing disaster risk reduction.
