Breaking the stereotypes, 32-year-old Sridevi became the first female driver of the state owned North-Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) in Karnataka's Hubli. Inspired by her father, Sridevi decided to follow his path and chose driving as a full-time profession. In the initial days of her journey, she joined VRL, a private transport company and learned to drive heavy vehicles. She later got selected for a driver-cum-conductor post at the NWKRTC. Earlier, Sridevi worked at the Hubli depot for five years.
