Watch | Sparrow defies nature and lives with Japanese family
Meet Pee-chan, a sparrow, and the newest family member of Yoshiko and Yoshino Fujino.The bird followed Yoshiko home one day from her job as a crossing guard for local school children and has been living with the elderly couple since November. Pee-chan spends his days feasting on grains of rice, or exploring his new owner's face.Now that all her grandchildren are grown Yoshiko says it's nice to have a little one around the house again. Japanese wildlife laws allow people to capture wild sparrows as pets from mid November to mid February.
