Police dogs, like 3-year-old Johnny, have their work cut out for them.They're being trained to sniff out hidden explosives at a new $13 million facility in Stormville, New York.MTA Police Lieutenant John Kerwick says this facility - the largest of its kind in the U.S. - is important, based on the increasing number of threats in the world. In the wake of attacks including the March bombing of a Brussels train station and airport, which killed 32 people, U.S. police agencies see highly trained dogs as key to maintaining security in large public spaces.The facility includes a 17,000 square-foot main building with training rooms modeled after classrooms and bus stations, 26 kennels and a veterinary clinic.
