The preview of

Surviving Sagas

— a group art show of works by contemporary artists such as Binoy Verghese, George Martin, Gopinath and Vivek Vilasini — saw the city’s culture connoisseurs in an upbeat mood.

Put together by Ashna Singh, director of Ashna Gallery, the works were much appreciated by socialite Kitty Kalra and gallerist Amol Vadehra, among others. Artists Mithu Sen and Murali Cheerorth were seen engaged in an animated discussion, while author Kusum Sawhney and curator Alka Pandey were overheard catching up on gossip as they savoured wine and kebabs. Held at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, the artsy affair also saw in attendance jewellery designer Alpana Gujral accompanied son Manav, and mediaperson Fatima Karan who came with gallerist Roshni Vadehra.
