The Loft is showcasing an exhibition called Emergent Idioms, featuring four artists —Bhupat Dudi, Lalit Vikamshi, Satya Sai and Suraj Singh. This annual exhibition aims to introduce fresh work for emerging collectors interested in supporting art.

Comprising of large canvases and works on paper, the show seeks to draw attention to distinct vocabularies in the making. Vikamshi’s colourful canvases show human bodies in numerous postures. Dudi’s art focuses on depicting how the union of complimentary opposites gives birth to new energies.

He says, “My work draws from natural elements and spirituality. The evolution of the universe is dependent on the relationship between male and female polarities or prakruti and purush.”

Sai says that his work takes off from a tale of two different communities in two cities, Delhi and Mumbai. Their butcher communities with their business of selling goat meat come under his survey. Singh tries to make a comment on the machineries in today’s world, and how they have enslaved human beings
