George Clooney to play Mr Fox

The Hollywood veteran will be seen in animated movie Fantastic Mr Fox, based on a story by British novelist Roald Dahl.

George Clooney has been cast to star in the movie Fantastic Mr Fox, based on a story by Roald Dahl.

Directed by Wes Anderson, the movie will be animated and revolves around Mr. Fox trying to outwit three farmers, ananova.com reports.

Anderson said: "It was one of my favourite books as a child. I have been trying to make this film for eight years. There's a whole new bit at the start and a new section at the end, but we've tried to do something that Roald Dahl would love."

More recent movies based on Dahl's stories include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory starring Johnny Depp and James and the Giant Peach.
