Priyanka Malhotra, a 21-year-old media student rushed to the gallery when told by friends about the artwork, painted by Mumbai based artist Rajendra Kapse. “The face does look like that of SRK, especially the eyebrows,” she says. “Shah Rukh anyway is God for many. But when I saw this painting, I was surprised to see the similarity,” says Rajat Dutt, a visitor.

While the artist denies any similarity with SRK and calls it his “own face,” some are quick in taking offence. “I hope this artist doesn’t try to be another MF Husain and hurt religious sentiments,” says Vinod Bansal of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
