Award-winning Hollywood actress Julia Roberts has been selected for the prestigious American Cinematheque award which will be presented to her on October 12.
The cinema arts organisation, which currently screens restored classic films, said Roberts was the unanimous choice of the selection committee, contactmusic.com reported.
Incidentally, the
Pretty Woman
and
Erin Brockovich
star had presented the organisation's award to George Clooney last year.
American Cinematheque's group chairperson Rick Nicita said in a statement: "Julia Roberts is a true movie star who has delighted audiences and critics in so many pictures."
