A solid day 1 in the Asian Games 2018 taking place in Indonesia will now be followed on by a Day 2 that will see India look to add more medals to their overall tally. Bajrang Punia won India’s first gold medal on day one while shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar won the bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event at the 2018 Asian Games. The Indian women hockey team also began their campaign with a thunderous 8-0 victory against the home favourites Indonesia. However, India missed out on medals too. Sushil Kumar suffered a shock first round exit and none of the swimmers did enough to ensure a medal either. (FULL ASIAN GAMES 2018 COVERAGE)
