It was their most successful day at the Asian Games 2018 as India bagged five medals on Day 3. Shooting continued to reap medals for India as 16-year old Saurabh Chaudhary clinched Gold in the 10m air pistol event and Abhishek Verma got bronze. Sanjeev Rajput later clinched silver in the 50m rifle 3 positions. India also won bronze in Sepaktakraw and wrestler Divya Kakran added to India’s tally with another bronze while the wushu contingent assured India of four more medals tomorrow.

Pardeep Kumar loses 2-1 to Indonesia’s Puja Riyaya in the men’s Sanda 70 kg quarter-finals. Still, India are assured 4 medals in the sport.

India are assured of a fourth medal in Wushu, this one coming courtesy of Narender Grewal who beat Akhmal Rakhimov 2-0 to enter the Men’s Sanda 65kg semi-finals.

India beat Kazakhstan 21-0 in the women’s tournament Pool B match. What a result this is for the girls!

Dipa Karmakar, returning to action after a knee injury in Rio 2016, was beaten to the vault final in the Asian Games teammates Pranati Nayak and Aruna Budda Reddy.

Divya Kakran has won the bronze medal, beating Chen Wenling by technical superiority 10-0!

They won the third set 11-9 to advance to the mixed doubles round of 16.
Virdhawal Khade just about misses out on a bronze! He finished fourth, just 0.01 seconds behind the Japanese swimmer who finished third.
