Bhopal: Girl thrown out of moving bus, dies

A 17-year-old girl died after she was pushed out of a moving mini bus by the conductor following a dispute over bus fare in Satna district, about 480 kilometers north east of Bhopal, on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old girl died after she was pushed out of a moving mini bus by the conductor following a dispute over bus fare in Satna district, about 480 kilometers north east of Bhopal, on Wednesday.

According to information available, Nita Saket, resident of Khera Churhata in Rewa district along with her father Bhaiyalal Saket and sister Anjali was on her way to attend a marriage in Karhi village of Satna district. The family was traveling on a mini bus operated by Panchiram Travels.

The conductor asked them to alight from the bus before Karhi claiming that they had paid less money as ticket fare. The family refused, a dispute ensued and in the scuffle, the conductor pushed Nita out of the bus. After this, Nita's father and sister also jumped out of the bus. Nita sustained serious head injuries and died in the district hospital during treatment. Her father and sister are safe.

Police have registered a case but no arrests have been made so far.
