Former Ranji player hangs self in Gwalior

A 32-year-old ex-Ranji player committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his residence in Gwalior on Tuesday night.

A 32-year-old ex-Ranji player committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his residence in Gwalior on Tuesday night. He was depressed for some time. The deceased, Yogendra Singh Kansana, represented Tripura in Ranji Trophy matches and also played for a local cricket club in Gwalior. Recently, he was also engaged in umpiring in local tournaments.

Superintendent of police, Gwalior Santosh Singh said, " Yogendra Singh's brother Brijendra Singh found him hanging on Thursday morning when he opened the the room's door. Brijendra Singh, who was not in the city for the last two days, came back on Thursday morning."
