Southern Madhya Pradesh may witness thunderstorm and heavy rainfall in coming days after the Hudhud cyclone strikes coastal areas of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. According to the officials of Meteorological Department of Bhopal (MeT), the cyclone may reach the coastal areas of Orissa and Andhra by October 12.
It depends on the intensity of the cyclone how much it would affect Madhya Pradesh in upcoming days, they added. The arrival of cyclone may also bring rainfall in Bhopal.
"We are waiting for the cyclone to strike the coastal areas of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. We are observing the movement of the cyclone regularly. The scenario of how much change it would bring in the weather of Madhya Pradesh will be clear by next week," said the weatherman.
Meanwhile, the sky on Thursday remained cloudy in the city.The day temperature of Bhopal was recorded at 33.2 degrees Celsius. After the city witnessed moderate showers on Wednesday afternoon, the temperature dropped in the capital city and people were a bit relieved on Thursday.
