Music composer and lyricist Vayu from Bhopal is riding high on the success of his latest song ‘Beat pe booty’.

“Honestly, before the release of this song, I was apprehensive. I didn’t know whether people will like it or not. The song was an outcome of a casual jamming session with Sachin-Jigar and they were working for Remo D’Souza’s Flying Jatt and Remo found the composition apt for this film. It had beats as well and he thought the song can have a great choreography. Songs with such interesting dance sequences are liked a lot in India. I am very happy, it is one of the most watched songs now,” says Vayu.

The song has gone viral on social media too where celebrities from B-Town and television are challenging each other to dance to the tunes of Beat Pe Booty. Celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Ekta Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Divyanka Tripathi, Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya, Urvashi Rautela among many others have danced their hearts out on the song. “This is crazy. Remo started this challenge and it has got mad response. It has only added to the popularity,” says Vayu.

Vayu started his career as a promo-producer in Mumbai and always wanted to do something for the entertainment industry. “I was directing film, composing songs too for television but I wanted to do something for the film industry. I always dreamt of being here,” he says. Vayu did his graduation from Indore and spent his early days in Bhopal.

‘Bhopal inpsires a lot’

Bhopal inpsires a lot. It is so beautiful and artistic, that everyone develops that penchant for art within. It has actually helped me shape-up as an artist, said Vayu.
