MP: 12-year-old critical after axe attack over land dispute

A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured on Sunday after he was attacked by an axe following a dispute over a piece of land between two families in Bichchora village of Chhatarpur district.

A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured on Sunday after he was attacked by an axe following a dispute over a piece of land between two families in Bichchora village of Chhatarpur district.

Deepesh Singh, son of Nepal Singh, was attacked by four men, causing deep injuries to his limbs, superintendent of police, Chhatrpur, Anurag Sharma said. The assailants were identified as Ballu, Balvir and two others and a case was registered against them under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.

Deepesh Singh was admitted to the Chhatarpur district hospital from where he was referred to Gwalior in a critical condition.
