MP chief minister invites Modi to inaugurate thermal plant

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi and invited him to inaugurate Singaji thermal power plant in Khandwa.

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday at his residence in New Delhi and invited him to inaugurate Singaji thermal power plant in Khandwa. Chouhan also urged Modi to visit Ujjain during Simhastha to be held in 2016.

During his meeting, Chouhan raised issue of MP's basmati rice, where APEDA has gone in appeal against registrar general of patents recognising MP as basmati growing state.

Chouhan also asked Modi to expand ambit of PPP projects for waste management, rural drinking water supply, micro-irrigation, logistic parks, medical colleges and metro projects in Indore and Bhopal.

Later, CM met union civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju and urged him for extension of aviation services to make available international flights to MP. He said that Sanchi attracts lot of tourists internationally specially from Sri Lanka.
