Jain, who is accused of getting a candidate selected in the transport recruitment examination by taking a bribe, was arrested on late Friday evening.

He was produced in the court on Saturday and will be in STF’s custody till May 12.

The candidate, Manoj Kaul, was earlier arrested and he had told officials that he was selected after paying around Rs 3.5 lakh through Jain.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders on Saturday handed over 'evidence' for the irregularities in the transport recruitment examination conducted by the PEB, to the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The party has been maintaining that a file pertaining to the order has deliberately been declared missing and information about the file is not being given under the RTI.
