“I am not a bl**dy ghoda running a race that you give me a tag. I am competitive and the reason for that is that I want to do the best films. So tomorrow, if an actress is working with a director I want to work with, I will be like damn it, sh*t, I missed something. But I genuinely don’t care about the number one tag. That’s not my goal. You know, no one does that with heroes, but with actresses it’s the same number game. It’s not a bl**dy pageant. Everyone has something unique to offer. I’d rather work with directors like Rajkumar Hirani, Imtiaz Ali than have a Rs 200cr film,” says the actor, who is currently shooting her first production, NH 10, in Delhi.

The actor, who was last seen in Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, says that she has never regretted her choices, even if her films haven’t done well. “None of my films have ever flopped or been below average. The worst that I have got is an average (film), but my work has always been appreciated and I have never felt that I was bad. I don’t regret my choices. When it comes to work, I am focussed. I work like a maniac. You give your best uske baad nahi hota ... toh you can’t beat yourself over it,” she says.

The 25-year-old has been in news lately for being in a relationship with cricketer Virat Kohli, but she clarified to us that the two are just friends and that it is normal for him to visit her at her house.
