Akshay Kumar on Toilet Ek Prem Katha posters

The first poster of Toilet Ek Prem Katha depicted a group of women carrying “lota” in their hands, apparently on their way to open defecation. The makers then followed it with posters flaunting the star’s presence. Akshay shared the new posters on Saturday.

Gearing up for the launch of the trailer of his ambitious project - Toilet Ek Prem Katha - Akshay Kumar shared new posters from the film on Friday.

While the first poster of the film depicted a group of women carrying “lota” in their hands, apparently on their way to open defecation. The makers then followed it with posters flaunting the star’s presence. Akshay shared new posters on Saturday.

While the first poster showed Akshay holding a lota and a lantern, the second one showed him dressed as a groom and a tagline on the poster read - “No toilet, no bride”.

Toilet Ek Prem Katha is based on the subject of sanitation and the need to have a toilet in every household in order to reduce health issues among women and children. The film emphasises on the importance of toilets in rural areas.

Recently, the National-award winning actor Akshay met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shared the theme and title of the movie, which reportedly made the latter smile.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha features Bhumi Pednekar opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is scheduled for release on August 11.
