Alia, Sidharth, Fawad to star in Ram Lakhan remake?

Filmmakers Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty have reportedley finalised the cast for the remake of director Subhash Ghai’s 1989 film, Ram Lakhan.

While the original cast of the movie comprised Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Madhuri Dixit Nene, buzz is that Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan will feature in the remake.

Sidharth is likely to play Ram in the movie, while Fawad might be seen as Lakhan. Apparently, Fawad was also offered a cameo in Karan’s Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma-starrer upcoming film, and the filmmaker was so impressed with the Pakistani actor’s work that he offered him Lakhan’s role in the Ram Lakhan remake.

Also, Alia will reprise Madhuri’s role in the film.

When contacted, both film-makers remained unavailable for comments.
