Actor Saif Ali Khan’s next, Bullett Raja, is supposedly based on the political atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh and makes a hard-hitting comment on the same. We’ve learned that the film, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, stars an actor who somewhat resembles Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.

A source close to the production house reveals, “The nexus between politicians, industrialists and the police in the state is at the heart of the film’s plot.” Ask Tigmanshu about this and he says, “Yes, we realised that this character who plays the role of a politician in the film looks like Amar Singh, but the role is not inspired by Singh’s life.”

Tigmanshu adds, “When we were conducting auditions for the role, we found this artiste, Gyaneshwar Mishra, from Lucknow, who looked like Singh. Since it was the role of a politician, we thought it would be interesting to cast him since anyone who sees him is reminded of Singh, even though his character in the film has nothing to do with him.”
