Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s recent revelation about his Piku co-star Deepika Padukone being paid more than him and his own pay scale and importance going down created a lot of buzz.

“That’s not why I said that. I was asked about inequality and about women in the society.... I believe that there should be equality and to give an example I said, ‘You know Deepika is playing the main protagonist and yes she was paid more than me’,” entertainment portal Pinkvilla quoted Bachchan as saying.
