Anil Kapoor to act in Nayak again?

Nayak: The Real Hero proved to be a milestone in Anil Kapoor's career after it released in 2001. Being the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Mudhalvan, the film was directed by S Shankar and produced by A M Rathnam. And now, aiming to revive the popularity of the film, yet another installment of the film is being planned.

And now, aiming to revive the popularity of the film, yet another installment of the film is being planned.

Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Pvt. Ltd revealed that they are all set to make Nayak Returns with Anil Kapoor being roped in, as the protagonist once again. However, Gada also claims that the film will have a new subject that throws some light on social issues but will not be a prequel or sequel to its first installment. The character that Anil will play, however, will be similar to his previous role as Shivaji Rao.

Nayak Returns is currently in its initial stages and the director and the rest of the cast for the film is yet to be finalized.
