Bharat song Chashni is true to its name. Sweet like jalebi that coincidentally features rather prominently in the video, it shows Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif romancing over rangolis and jalebis, in deserts and on water, over chaste kisses and stolen glances. This particular song is set in the 70s as Salman and Katrina are working together in the Gulf – she as the ‘madam sir’ and him as a worker.

The song Chashni is crooned by Abhijeet Srivastava and is composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjian. Before the song unfurls, Salman in a voiceover gives us a peek into the Bollywood scene of that time. Talking about the arrival of the industry’s first superstar, Rajesh Khanna, he goes on to say that his Bharat remains a fan of Dilip Kumar who found his Saira Bano in Katrina’s character.

On Wednesday, Salman shared the Chashni teaser. “This Eid... Ishq meetha hai (Love is sweet),” he wrote. Earlier, Khan shared the first song Slow Motion from the film that featured him and Disha Patani.

Salman has been sharing his looks from Bharat; the trailer of the film showcased how the story of Salman’s character runs parallel to that of India. The film is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Atul Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.

Katrina Kaif is playing the female protagonist in the film, which also features Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani and Tabu in pivotal roles. Jackie Shroff is essaying the role of Salman’s father. Salman is teaming up with Zafar for the third time after Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Bharat is a June 5 release on Eid.
