Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan finishes shooting for Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby today and says working on the Hollywood project has been a rewarding experience.
The 69-year-old actor is currently in Sydney for the film, his first Hollywood project, which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the enigmatic Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and Carey Mulligan.
Bachchan, who essays the role of Meyer Wolfsheim in the film based on F Scott Fitzgerald's novel, said that the crew was wonderful to work with.
"It has been a rewarding experience. The filming, the procedures, the discipline and the systematic manner in which productions are managed. There is a very committed attitude and desire to get the right moment and the right shot, irrespective of the time and repeats it takes and that is most educative," Bachchan wrote in his blog.
The National award winning actor also praised the quality of work and professional attitude of the Hollywood cast and crew.
"Equipment being used are of the highest quality and the latest and the respect for the talent is unbeatable. There is a sense of great proficiency and efficiency in the way work gets conducted here and that is remarkable," he said.
