Apart from Deol, the cast currently includes Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Omi Vaidya. The story is about a team of thieves who plan to steal gold bullion from a former associate who had double-crossed them.
In the film, Abhishek plays Charlie Crocker (played by Mark Wahlberg in the original) who forms the team of five people and Bobby is one of the lead characters.
"Deol plays an illusionist which is why Abhishek's character is keen to have him in his team," Mustan told the Mumbai Mirror.
Incidentally, The Italian Job made in 2003 too, is a remake of a film by the same name that was released in 1969 starring Michael Caine. The 2003 version was supposed to be a tribute to the original.
Anyway, Abbas-Mustan's untitled remake is supposedly very different from the 2003 original. Well, we hope they do a good Indian job of this one!
