All work and no play can make Jack a dull boy, unless work involves playing a sport. That seems to be the Bollywood mantra, as many actors are learning various sports for their upcoming projects. For instance, Ek Villain actor Sidharth Malhotra is sweating it out “learning mixed martial arts”. And he has taken quite a liking for it. “Mixed martial arts is an intense and fast-paced regime which conditions your full body. I have learned it for my film and want to continue it as my regularfitness regime,” he says.
Then, there is actor Ranbir Kapoor who’s taken boxing lessons for Anurag Kashyap’s next, where he portrays a street fighter. A source said, “A trainer from Kenya was flown down to work with Ranbir. They worked together for roughly four months.”
And it’s not just the boys, actor Kriti Sanon is also “learning karate and martial arts for her upcoming film alongside Akshay Kumar”, informs a source. And then, actor Evelyn Sharma has learnt Thai boxing from world champ Sumlock Kamsing, which she calls “a really fun experience”.
