Actor Boman Irani, who is popularly known to essay light hearted yet captivating characters in his films, is now heading for some serious cinema.

“He has signed an international project called Sher Singh Rana, The End of Bandit Queen. The movie is based on the real life of Sher Singh Rana, the man who was accused of assassinating the Bandit Queen, Phoolan Devi and is currently lodged in the Tihar Jail in New Delhi,” says a source.

The film is being directed by Shirin and Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi Fame, Muncher Wadia. “Wondering whether this biopic will lead him to achieve more milestones internationally?” adds the source.
