An insider says, “Sonali is in the running for a part. She is likely to play Riteish Deshmukh’s character’s wife. For now, only the male cast (Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish) is officially confirmed.”

HT Café has already reported that Bruna Abdullah, Kainaat Arora, Maryam Zakaria, Manjari Fadnis and Karishma Tanna are confirmed for the film. “There are two girls to each male star. While one plays the homely wife, the other is the extra-marital love interest,” he adds.

“With Sonali, the main casting will be complete. Shooting has already started, mainly with the male leads. It slowed down a bit due to the demise of Ritiesh’s father, Vilasraoji (Deshmukh),” adds the insider.

As for Sonali, she was last seen in a Marathi film, Deool (2011). The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film. It also marked the debut of veteran Hindi film actor Naseeruddin Shah in Marathi cinema.While Indra Kumar remained unavailable for a comment, Sonali responded curtly: “I don’t know what film you are talking about.”
