Actor Shah Rukh Khan has contributed Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund in the wake of unprecedented rains and flooding in Chennai.
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly donated Rs 1 crore for the victims of Chennai floods. According to a report appearing in The Hindu, the Bollywood actor has contributed the sum to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
In the wake of unprecedented rains, the city and neighbouring areas have been devastated. A number of Tamil and Telugu film personalities have already donated money and are helping in arranging relief material. Superstar Rajinikanth has contributed Rs 10 lakhs while Singam star Suriya has chipped in with Rs 25 lakhs.

A host of Telugu actors too have come forward to help those in need. While actors Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu contributed Rs 25 lakhs and Rs 10 respectively, Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati has launched a campaign called ‘Mana Madras Kosam’ to help the people hit by the floods.
