Ira is the daughter of Aamir and his former wife Reena, with whom he also has a son named Junaid. Aamir is currently married to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he raises a son named Azad Rao Khan.

On the work front, Aamir is prepping for his biographical sports drama Dangal, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Jointly produced by Aamir, Kiran and Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Dangal is based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat. It is yet another of the superstar’s films to release on Christmas weekend -- a time when he also scored hits with Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Dhoom: 3 and PK.
